![]() No matter what you do, there will always be some bad actors who would want to harm your website or your application and the most common way for them to do this is by doing a DoS or DDoS attack. This has happened to me in the past as well but it did not cause much damage so I ignored it, which was a big fault on my end because this time it did cause quite a lot of damage and hence I wanted to share how I was able to protect my website after the attack and hopefully would be able to avert such incidents in future and why you shouldn't do the mistake as me of not adding the very least basic protections to safeguard your apps from malicious actors. In that article, I mention a brief detail about why I had to do it which was that a week before writing this article, my website and other apps / APIs were attacked by someone.
